About Me
Tammy Tibbetts is a feminist, philanthropist, and nonprofit executive whose entire career has uplifted girls. She is Co-Founder/Co-CEO of She’s the First and author of Impact: A Step-by-Step Plan to Create the World You Want to Live In (published by Hachette). She is a sought-after speaker who models a more collaborative, accessible, and values-based approach to philanthropy.
She’s the First (STF) is a global nonprofit, registered in the U.S. and Kenya, that fights for girls to be educated, respected, and heard. Over the past 15 years, STF has impacted nearly one million girls through leadership/advocacy programs and investment in women-led grassroots organizations.
Tammy’s passion for building girls' power traces back to being voted “Most Shy” in her high school yearbook. She became a first-generation graduate, and later a Trustee, of The College of New Jersey. Prior to her nonprofit career, she was the first-ever social media editor of Seventeen magazine and led innovative girl-centered projects for Hearst Digital Media.
Tammy is also a DVF (Diane von Furstenberg) People's Voice Award winner, a three-time TEDx speaker, and an International Women's Forum Fellow.
